The Prime Minister of Israel is the first foreign leader who personally meets Trump after he applied duties on several dozen countries of the world. Goods from Israel were covered by 17 % ratedespite the fact that the day before their announcement, the government in Jerusalem abolished all the few imported import duties on American goods.
The United States is Israel's largest trading partner. According to the American government statistics, in 2024 Israeli exports to the USA reached over $ 22 billion, and imports from the United States – nearly $ 15 billion. The US deficit in trade with Israel is therefore about $ 7 billion.
Netanyahu about the future of the Gaza Strip
On Monday, Binjamin Netanyahu met with Donald Trump in the White House. Israel's prime minister agreed with the American president that he did not want “Syria to be used by Turkey.” He also added that the inhabitants of the Gaza Zone should be able to leave this territory if they express such will.
Both Trump and Netanyahu assured that they were doing everything to free hostages in the captivity of Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations.
