In 2022, the undertaking, which is run by a 7,000 municipality, was provided with a government subsidy. PLN 10 million of own contribution was guaranteed by the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie metropolis, whose city is a member. In recent days, the local government has settled the tender for the implementation of the simplified investment in the face of the original assumptions, which proved to be too expensive.

“On Friday, June 20, the tender committee of the Sławków City Hall has completed the process of assessing the offers of contractors for the design and construction of national road connector No. 94 with the Sławków terminal team. According to the assessment criteria, the offer of the best in the tender was the offer of Mirbud worth PLN 189.6 million in gross” – wrote on the website of Sławkowski.

Three offers were received in the tender. With the budget of the order, PLN 250 million Budimex proposed a price of PLN 180.3 million gross, Mirbud PLN 189.6 million gross, and Nowak-Mosty PLN 206.7 million. The price was 60 percent. Offer evaluation criterion; The others were the experience of the construction manager and designer, as well as the extension of the warranty on engineering facilities as well as other construction works and materials and devices used for them.

Bidders have the opportunity to submit any references to the National Board of Appeal. The city believes that the signing of the contract will be possible in July or August, depending on the actions of the tender participants. The mayor Rafał Adamczyk, quoted in the information, estimated that the selection of a connector's contractor is a historical moment for the city. “Sławkowski's local government has never implemented such a great investment before. It is also unlikely to repeat a similar success in the future,” Adamczyk said.

In October 2022, the local government of Sławków seven -thousand received one of the investment promises of the fifth edition of the Strategic Investment Program – for the development of economic zones. In this case, the subsidy is up to 98 percent. investment value.

The city then got, among others Ensuring 2 % coverage own contribution from the Euroterminal authorities, as well as help from the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie metropolis. GZM, among others She had already donated PLN 0.6 million to the investment order, including its functional and utility program.

Originally, the length of over 8.3 km necessary to build a road system was assumed, with the expansion and construction of a collision -free node with DK94 over a section of over 2.1 km DK94. The construction of four engineering facilities was also established to carry out the road through the railway lines.

The cost of such an investment was estimated at PLN 428 million and it became necessary to annul the first proceedings (before the deadline for submitting bids) and modification of the scope of the project to obtain a lower estimated amount.

In January 2024, the mayor of Sławków Rafał Adamczyk requested a change in the scope of investments to Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister; The positive decision of the premiere came at the end of April 2024.

The most important change is the construction – instead of the two -level node applied earlier by GDDKiA on DK94 – a single -level intersection of the connector with DK94 with traffic lights. In turn, the roundabouts to connect the planned connector with poviat roads are to be made by the Będzin poviat with the financial support of Sławków.

For support for the construction of a road connection to the expanding logistics terminal in Sławków and the end of the LHS line, i.e. the longest broad -gauge line in Poland intended for freight transport, the authorities of Dąbrowa Górnicza, Sławków, as well as the Będzin poviat have been appearing for years. So far, hundreds of trucks pass through local streets every day.

Until the construction of the connection to DK94, the city and road managers in Sławków Będzin poviat introduce alternating, every two months, tonnage limitation on their local roads leading to Euroterminal: Dąbrowa Górnicza in the Strzemieszyce district, and the Będzin poviat – on the streets of Sławkowski.

The Sławków authorities have been applying for years to ensure that the connection to the Eurothentic has been a provincial or national investment. In view of the possibility that appeared in the strategic investment program, the Sławkowski local government decided to be an independent investor.
