So many Poles give charity microdarizations


According to the authors of the “Adaen Index: Retail Report 2025” study, the technology is becoming more and more important for charity organizations. It enables more frequent and more flexible possibilities in transferring donations in smaller amounts.
76 percent Polish consumers have confirmed that in the last 12 months they have donated for charity. However, 8 percent of them had to give up earlier support plans due to rising living costs. The largest percentage of donors was recorded among millennials (78 percent), and the smallest among generations with (68 %). Every fourth consumer (24 percent) declares that he transfers donations every month or more often – from this group the most among generations from (32 percent), the least among generation X (16 percent).
The most common form of support according to the “Adaen Index: Retail Report 2025” study was helping family or friends (39 percent). Just behind her was the possibility of rounding the amounts of payment at the ticket office (20 %). Interestingly, 40 percent respondents admit that they transfer more money for charity per year, if they can do it with small amounts.

Thanks to this, everyday shopping can realistically support local social initiatives. “The modern consumer expects not only quality from brands, but also values. Payment technologies give companies real tools to support social goals,” says Matouš Michněvič from Adaen.
Despite the growing expectations, only 29 percent companies in Poland allow you to transfer donations in stationary stores – the same number offers this possibility online. Every fifth company (21 percent) admits that it lacks resources or technological knowledge to implement solutions such as the function of rounding the amounts of payment – despite the desire to offer them.
