Are you looking for a job in the technology industry? Vibe coding skill can give you an advantage. The art of using AI to generate code is the latest trend in the Silicon Valley, and technical directors are looking at him with more and more interest.
According to Business Insider, companies such as Visa, Reddit, Dordash and many others simply require experience in vibe coding or knowledge of AI tools for coding, such as Cursor or Bolt.
One of the start-ups even went to call vibe coding a skill “not subject to negotiations”. Candidates for this position had to generate at least half of their code using AI.

The announcements clearly show that companies employ vibe coders to increase the pace of work on products.
Giants of the industry are also joining the game. Sundar Pichai, Google CEO, admitted that he had “pleasure” to code the website using vibe coding, and Amazon is conducting talks on the implementation of the Cursor tool (BI did not find any job ads from the so -called magnificent seven, which would simply require vibe coding).
Although Vibe Coding is gaining importance, the road is still far from replacing older engineers. Engineers say BI that this technique is today useful mainly with less complex tasks.
Vibe Coding becomes crucial
In May, Visa published three job offers in Austin for positions related to generative AI, in which Knowledge of vibe coding tools was described as “key”.
In turn, Reddit is looking for an engineer who will create and maintain cooperation with programming tools supported by AI, such as Cursor and Bolt. The company wants this engineer to actively engage in a wider vibe coding community, collect opinions and “support the adoption” of these solutions.
Dordash is looking for similar candidates, and the company from the cyber security industry wants to hire a person with “in -depth knowledge” vibe coding.
The fastest in enthusiasm was the start-up of the Technology House from the Y Associnator incubator, who He called the experience with Vibe Coding “a prerequisite”. According to the advertisement, at least half of this person's code should already be generated by AI.

It all boils down to speed
In almost each of the ads, the same theme turns: speed. Companies are looking for people who know Vibe Coding because they want their engineering teams to provide products faster.
This is why Vibe Coding is gaining popularity – to recharge programming teams.
For example, a tube, a streaming service, wants to hire an engineer who would integrate AI tools with the team's daily work to “increase the speed of operation”. In turn, Udicity wants to “accelerate” the development of products thanks to a person familiar with Cursor and the assistant Claude Code from Anthropica.
Visa's announcements also emphasized that it is about “fast” generating code and prototypes.
Alex Balazs, Cto Intuit, told BI that he approved several different vibe coding tools in the company, including Cursor, Windsurf or Microsoft Copilot, and does not regret this decision.
– Today we can see that a good engineer, using these tools, can encode up to 40 percent. faster – says Balazs.
He also added that although the intitut does not recruit vibe Coders, he values people who “like to use AI to solve problems.”
And he doesn't take over the rudders yet
This does not mean, however, that someone without experience in programming, armed with a subscription Cursor tool for $ 20. (approx. PLN 75), he can take the position of a senior engineer from the march.
– Vibe Coding is useful to companies mainly because it allows experienced engineers to spend less time on a “template code” and focus on more complex issues – says Balazs.
– Even the most advanced vibe coding tools do not work when creating a production code or when analyzing complex company systems – emphasizes Mohammad Sanatkar, a former Machine Learning engineer in Waymo, today a startup of Selfmachines in San Francisco.
– A few weeks ago I used Cursor to create the main page and did quite well – he says. – But I don't think these tools are ready to work on key fragments of the software – he adds.
