The first Poles have already arrived home. Soon more transports from Israel and Iran

On Thursday, the evacuation of another 65 people from Israel is planned, this time they will only be Polish citizens; The aircraft will take them from Amman – said Henryk Mościcka -Dedendys, deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday. She added that a group of 13 Polish citizens leaving Iran should fly out of Baku in the morning.

At the press conference, Mościcka-Dendys reminded that the first group of evacuated landed on Wednesday morning in Warsaw; From Israel in a land convoy they reached Egypt, and from there by plane to the country. The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 154 people arrived on board the aircraft that landed in Warsaw, of which 130 Polish citizens. Other people are citizens of Germany, Austria, France and Ukraine.
On Thursday, another group of people leaving Israel is to return to the country, this time through Jordan.
“Tomorrow will fly another plane and this plane will fly from Amman. That's why we decided to organize two flights for organizing that we expected a group of our Poles who are interested in leaving, may be greater, and not everyone will manage this effort to go through Egypt, because it is a fairly difficult land and long. That Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She added that “the group already knows that he could expect a departure tomorrow.” “It will be 65 people and this time they will be only Polish citizens,” she pointed out. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a government military plane would be used to evacuate these people. Mościcka-Dendys pointed out that she could not say precisely at what time the plane with Polish citizens will start from Jordan, because it will depend on the safety conditions.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was asked by journalists about a return to the country of employees of the Polish embassy in Tehran and a group of Polish citizens staying in Iran. As she informed, they set off from Tehran by land and head towards the border with Azerbaijan. “We assume that they should make it to the plane, which flies from Baku at 3am. This is a course plane. If everything goes well, then a group of 13 people will get into this plane,” she said.
“I confirm that these are Polish citizens who were registered in the Odysseus system and declared their willingness to leave,” Mościcka -Dependys emphasized. She added that one person decided to stay in Baku.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman Paweł Wroński emphasized that the embassy in Tehran leaves the so -called Additional staff. “The Polish institution in Tehran is still functioning” – he noted.
At the same time, Mościcka-Dendys stipulated that Polish branches in Tehran and Tel-Aviv are in a limited priority dimension, treating support for citizens. “We carry out all activities for Poles to the extent that they are needed,” said the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She said that only three Polish citizens who are in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will remain in Iran.
Mościcka-Dendys pointed out that the voices of people who ask about the possibility of leaving Israel to Poland are still reaching the ministry. “If you need to organize further flights, I do not rule out that one more flight would try to realize,” she declared. She added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to end the evacuation operations of Poles “absolutely this week”. “If there is no great interest in subsequent flights, maybe even tomorrow. If you need another flight, then we would like to realize it at the weekend,” said Mościcka -Dendys.
Recalling the words of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski regarding the number of people remaining in Israel, Mościcka-Dendys said that “originally in the Odysseus system the maximum number of people we had registered exceeded 300”. “We started from 64 last Friday, she increased over the weekend to over 300” – she added.
The deputy minister explained that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs originally indicated about 200 people to evacuate. “This number has grown a bit in recent days, because when information appeared that evacuation actually begins, additional people still called us,” said Mościcka -Dandys.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls to leave Israel and Iran
Mościcka-Dependys was also asked whether the evacuation was started quickly enough, because in public space opinions arise that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs's actions in the initial phase were late. “Evacuations are always implemented in an absolutely standard way, in accordance with the procedure (…) I especially thank the army, which from the beginning is in contact with us and in readiness for flights,” said the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs decides when to start evacuating, but it is always dependent on the situation on the spot. “Evacuation is a final means and it has an impact on the country of office and our partners who usually take these actions in parallel with us,” explained Mościcka -Dendys.
She added that the Middle East is an extremely unstable region and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes the warning and away alerts on its pages. “Israel in the last three years has been almost all the time in the category of highest warnings” – emphasized the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She explained that from the point of view of consular procedures and law, people who have only Polish citizenship or Polish and another country are qualified as Polish citizens, but not the one they are residents.
“In this case, people who have Polish and Israeli passports are, in principle, not treated as those that should be covered by consular procedures. They are primarily treated as the citizens of Israel from the point of view of the state,” he said.
That is why – as she pointed out – this is “this difficulty in calculating how many people may be interested in moving to Poland”. “We have a very large group of residents who have double and even triple passports. Of course, not all of these people were interested in traveling to Poland, we answer those who contact us and we also inform about away possibilities” – said the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Israeli authorities started on June 13 in the morning massive attacks on Iran, claiming that their goal is nuclear and military facilities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Tehran has enough enriched uranium to build nine atomic bombs. Iran called the attack “Declaration of War” and responded with air rockets on Israel, in which 24 people were killed. The authorities in Tehran informed about the death of at least 224 people.
Both sides announce further blows. World leaders call for de -escalation and return of Iran to negotiate in the matter of the nuclear program of this country. (PAP)
