Interim Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja sent a message to the domestic consumers, on Saturday, on B1 TV, given that the electricity market will be liberalized from July 1, and the price will no longer be capped.

“Two things I want to convey to them. The first is that this induced panic does not do good to anyone and feed possible speculation on the energy market, which would lead to higher and increasing prices. I recommend caution and that is why I am here, to explain on calculations some simple things, namely, if there are certain increases, they are modest to the level, for those, for those, Sebastian Burduja.

The minister urged the Romanians to access the price comparator from the National Energy Regulatory Authority.

“The second very important thing is to look very well who their supplier is, the company that sends their bill at home, enter the price comparator from ANRE, is something that any Romanian can do, online, quickly, and can change their supplier – and here are two variants, or go with a new supplier, and there are offers in the market, we are very advantageous, when we see, At another supplier, it comes with a retention offer ”, explained the Liberal.

He believes that “it is a very simple thing that Romanians can do and have to do.”

“Why? Because they do their good and do us good. Why? The more we put pressure on the suppliers, the more competitive this market will become, the margins will decrease and the offers will be better, so the invoices will be lower (…). We have, how much energy we have, ”concluded Minister Sebastian Burduja.
