Zeljko Kopic was arriving at Dinamo on December 1, 2023 and quickly became very loved by the “dogs” supporters. In the first season, he managed to save the team from relegation to the relegation zone, and in the seasons that followed, he qualified the team from Bucharest in the play-offs.

In the recently concluded season, Dinamo finished in 4th place in the Superliga, with 39 points. The “Dogs” had a chance to return to the European Cups, but were defeated by rivals FCSB in the play-off for the Conference League, score 1-2. The team also played in the semifinals of the Romanian Cup, where they were eliminated by Craiova in the penalty shootout.

Dear Dinamo family, sometimes it is very difficult to put all the emotions into words. It was two and a half years of life with such a big and historic club, with the Dinamo family. It was an extraordinary journey, full of pure emotion, pride and fight for Dinamo. No limits, everything for the team.

For me it was much more than a job, more than hard work and a life lived on the edge. It was a connection with the spirit of Dinamo, a huge responsibility to build something for the present, but also for the future of the club.

I will not forget even one day spent at Dinamo, every moment in which I felt your support; only beautiful memories will remain in my soul for the rest of my life. As our supporters have said, I came as a stranger and leave as a Red Dog. Come on Dynamo!
