Prosecutor detained after evading evidence from a rape case over a minor

A prosecutor was detained and is accused of evading evidence from a file in which a rape offense was investigated on a minor and “replaced them with others subsequently prepared, attesting to the truth to the fact that initially declared by the suspect, with the consequence of classifying the criminal file,” the Ministry, in a public, announced on Friday.
The respective prosecutor is accused of committing the offenses of evading or destroying evidence or documents, favoring the perpetrator and false intellectual.
“From the evidence administered so far it turned out that, during 2024, after the administration of the means of evidence in a criminal prosecution file in which the crime of rape on a minor was investigated, a file instrumented by the Prosecutor's Office in which he operated as the first prosecutor, the defendant stole more useful documents”, in the case of the public.
The prosecutors accuse the magistrate in question that, “in order to prevent or make it difficult to draw criminal liability of the author of the crime”, replaced the documents stolen “with others subsequently drawn up, inappropriately attesting to the truth to those initially declared by the suspect, with the consequence of classifying the criminal file”.
“During today, the case prosecutor asked the Superior Council of Magistracy to approve the preventive measure of the detention and the preventive arrest/arrest of the magistrate, the measure being approved. innocence ”, concluded the Public Ministry.
