Donald Trump and Elon Musk went directly to: “You didn't become president without me” vs. “I am very disappointed. I helped him a lot”

The alliance between the American president and the richest man in the world was suddenly fractured on Thursday, after the president publicly criticized Musk's position on the draft law on tax reductions, CNBC transmit, quoted News.ro, and BBC.
Trump said on a bilateral meeting with the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House, that Musk criticizes the bill because he eliminates subsidies for electric vehicles, but also because he gave up the nomination of the Musk person for the position of head of NASA.M “I am very disappointed by Elon.”
Musk reacted quickly to his social network X. “Without me, Trump would have lost the elections,” wrote Musk, who was the main financier of Trump's 2024 campaign, contributing over $ 250 million.
“Democrats would control the room, and the Senate would be 51-49 for Republicans,” Musk added.
He commented ironically and with “whatever” (“no matter” n. Red.) Trump's statements, harshly criticizing incentive for electric vehicles and solar energy in the legislative package, while oil and gas subsidies remain unchanged.
“Throughout the history of civilization, there has never been a legislation that is also big and beautiful,” wrote Musk ironic, referring to how Trump describes the project as “a big and beautiful one.”

The tensions climbed a few days after Musk left the Trump administration, where the program to reduce federal expenses and the number of employees. Then, the Trump administration gave assurances that the billionaire will frequently return to the White House, read Reuters.
On Tuesday, in an X post, Musk called a draft law on tax reductions as “a disgusting abomination”, saying that he is worried about the impact on the federal deficit.
The first reaction came from the spokesman of the White House. “The president already knows Elon Musk's opinion very well about this draft law,” said the press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “This does not change the opinion of the president. It is an important and beautiful bill, and he supports it,” she continued.
Thursday, Trump's turn was to answer. “I always liked Elon. I would prefer to criticize me than the bill, because the project is incredible,” Trump said on Thursday.
He added: “I am very disappointed, because Elon knew the details of this bill better than almost anyone else. He knew everything. He had no problem, until he learned that we would eliminate these subsidies,” Trump said.

Elon Musk, however, denied this. “False. The bill was never shown to me and was adopted in the middle of the night, so quickly that no one in Congress could read it.”
He then posted numerous X messages and distributed several old messages of Donald Trump, from 2012 and 2013, in which he criticized the Republicans that they had lifted the ceiling of public debt.
