A well-known radio producer announced his departure from the station where he had been working for five years

Mihai Dinu, producer of the weekend matinee at Europa FM, announced his departure from the station after five years of collaboration. The journalist explained his decision by the need for rest and time with his family, according to PaginadeMedia.
“I imagined this moment as late as possible, but it has come. The time to close the microphone at Europa FM”, was the message published by Mihai Dinu, on Sunday, on Facebook.
The host of Good Morning Europe, which airs every Saturday and Sunday, says the decision comes after years of starting his weekends at dawn in the radio studio.
“Let's be honest, waking up at 5:00 a.m., weekend after weekend, is an effort that gradually consumes you. Saturdays and Sundays should be quiet, but for me they always meant the red light from the studio and the morning adrenaline,” wrote Dinu.
Mihai Dinu described the collaboration with Europa FM as full of challenges and divergent opinions. However, he says that precisely these constructive tensions helped him to evolve professionally.
At the end of the message, the director thanked his listeners: “And I thank you, the man behind the device, I thank you for coming with me to the radio, weekend after weekend, for walking the road with me, from your kitchen, from the steering wheel of the car, from the bed, from places that I have never seen, but in which I was, somehow, present.”
With over three decades of experience in radio, Mihai Dinu has been active over time as a producer, director and music director. Before joining the Europa FM team in May 2021, he coordinated the music departments of such reference stations as RFI (1997-2007), Gold FM (2007-2010) and Radio Guerrilla (2010-2014).

“I imagined this moment as late as possible, but it has come. The time to hang up the microphone at Europa FM.
There are mornings that stay with you, in which, before the city wakes up, you are already there, with headphones on your ears and thinking about the man behind the device. In May, five years of such mornings, of red light in the studio and sunrises shared with the listeners, were completed, but it is also the month of parting.
It is a conclusion of a stage that occupied a huge part of my life, a decision made somewhere between the desire to move on and the need to find a normal rhythm.
Let's face it, waking up at 5:00 a.m. weekend after weekend is an effort that gradually wears you down. Saturday and Sunday should be quiet, but for me they always meant the red light in the studio and the morning adrenaline. The routine ends up becoming a part of you, only now I feel that I'm tired and it's time to recover these hours with my own.
The years spent here were full of challenges, we often had different visions and it was this tension that kept us awake. Adapting to contrasting ideas and forcing myself out of a warm zone were my most important lessons, and the beauty of the journey was precisely in the effort to find harmony where things did not come naturally.
Europa FM was a place where I could do that, an exceptional place where I felt very good and which completed my radio experience the most, precisely because I missed working at a radio station of this type. Thank you, Radio Europa FM.
And I thank you, the man behind the device, I thank you for coming with me to the radio, weekend after weekend, for walking the road with me, from your kitchen, from the steering wheel of the car, from the bed, from places that I have never seen, but in which I was, somehow, present. Our five years were, in essence, a connection, a discreet dialogue, a genuine step in two. Your presence gave meaning to every sunrise.
I hit the “Off” button for the last time, left the headphones on the table and retreat to the quiet of weekend mornings without an alarm. Thank you for every sunrise. See you around the world.”
