AvtoVAZ see grounds for indexing prices for a car. This was stated by the president of the company Maxim Sokolov in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
“Of course, inflation is always laid in the calculation of cost. Therefore, the cost is growing. And thus, this is the basis for indexing, price adjustments, but we will carefully focus on the market situation, ”Sokolov said.
Among the reasons, he also noted aggressive dumping by Chinese automakers. Maxim Sokolov emphasized that for the consumer, the sale of cars below the cost looks profitable, but in the future it is destructive for industry.
Earlier, analysts considered that in the first half of 2025, sales of new cars in Russia fell by almost a third.
