June 5 in the EAO: opening of the Park of Culture and Rest in Birobidzhan

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) wrote on its pages that on June 5, 1936 the opening of the city park of culture and rest would be held.

At the opening of the park will be attended by a brass band and a symphony orchestra. The concert (0+) will take place on the new stage of the theater platform of the park. Mass games and dancing for a jazz orchestra will be organized.

Four new alleys have been held in the park, the town of Games will be ready for the opening of the park: Ping Pong (6+), Chinese billiard (6+), airplaces (0+), rings (0+). The rifle shooting range (12+) is equipped. Two volleyball sites were erected. Many new benches have been installed, three large flower beds are lounged with flowers. Two cigarette kiosk and a trail trays will trade in the park.

On June 5, 1956, the Birobidzhan Star newspaper wrote that the All -Union Agricultural Exhibition (0+) was opened in Moscow, which is a vivid demonstration of success in agriculture. Its participants were a number of collective farms, livestock farms and dozens of collective farmers of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

On the pages of the newspaper, the chairman of the Pravda collective farm, Birobidzhan district V. Peller talks about the successes of the collective farmers of the district, about the results achieved and that being a participant in the All -Union Agricultural Exhibition is a great honor for the collective farm. Dovery of the collective farm named after Malenkova, Stalinsky district (now Oktyabrsky), B. Vasilevskaya spoke about her work experience, successes about how excellent performance on the farm was achieved. All participants in the exhibition are not only agricultural and agricultural affiliators who received high grain crops last year, high milk yield and ensured the timely fulfillment of obligations to the state for the delivery and sale of products.

In the newspaper Birobidzhan Zvezda, for June 5, 1979, an article was published by the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Regional Council of the Society for the Protection of Nature of Koptelov “National Clae”, which tells the work of the Society for the Protection of Nature and the rational use of natural resources of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

Every year, the volume of work on the restoration of forest resources increases. In order to prevent pollution of the Bira River, treatment facilities were built at the Teploozersky cement plant. A sewer manifold and treatment facilities in the village of Amurzet were built and put into operation. In Birobidzhan, not only communal, but also the wastewater of the Dalselmash plants, power transformers, reinforced concrete products, meat processing plants, hosiery, sewing, shoe factories and other enterprises are dumped into the Bir through urban treatment facilities with biological cleaning.

The article tells about the effective protection of arable land from erosion, about rational and careful attitude to peat reserves. A separate item in the report sounded, what harm to nature is brought by poachers.

On June 5, 1992, the Birobidzhan Star newspaper wrote that Birobidzhan was visited by guests from Switzerland traveling the Rus tourist train. The journey passed from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, the parking was only in large cities. The guests visited the art and local history museums, at a meeting in the living room “Birobidzhaner Stern” (12+) asked about everything that was connected with Jewish traditions. The guests stayed in Birobidzhan for several hours, and the train passengers managed to notice that it was not as cold as in Siberia, and cleanly, as in Switzerland.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Zvezda” on June 5, 2001 on its pages wrote that the collection “Doing business in the EAO: a manual for the domestic and foreign investor” (6+) was published. The book sets out the economic and geographical characteristics of the region, the investment policy of state authorities of the EAO, forms and conditions for the implementation of business activity, the features of activities on the territory of the subject of enterprises with foreign capital and the tax system.

On its pages, the newspaper reports that Sergey Abramov’s furniture received a diploma of the International Specialized Fair “Dallesepspo-Mir Furniture-2001” (0+), which took place in Khabarovsk. Not only the Far Eastern regions took part in the last fair, but this year both Finns and Americans, who presented new equipment for the furniture industry. Sergei Abramov brought serial samples of metal furniture to the fair – chairs, armchairs, beds and a set of office furniture. Of particular interest was manifested in metal furniture, the customers became schools and medical institutions of Khabarovsk. Administrative institutions became interested in office furniture.
