“The first test will be a vote of trust, which I will ask the Sejm in the near future” – said the head of government.
He explained that he wants “everyone to see, also our opponents, in the country and abroad, that we are ready for this situation, that we understand the seriousness of the moment, but that we do not intend to take a step back.”
The prime minister also turned to everyone who voted in the election for Ko Rafał Trzaskowski's candidate: “We are going further”. “I know how you feel, but remember – we agreed to a great thing, requiring strength, perseverance and maybe more time than we would like. In democracy, the fight never ends” – he emphasized.” I believe in you, I believe in Poland ” – added Tusk.
According to the Prime Minister's constitution, he may ask the Sejm to express the Vote of Sustum of Ministers at any time of his office. The vote of trust to the Council of Ministers takes place by a majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the statutory number of deputies. The lack of support from the Sejm for the application for a vote of trust obliges the prime minister to resign for the president.
