Romania, like other European countries, is no longer “in peace”, but in a “very gray area”, Iulian Fota, former presidential adviser for national security in Traian Basescu, told Digi24, who appreciated that “we enter into a heavy race for our national security”.
“We are in a very bad period of Romania. Romania, at this moment, is no longer in peace, as the European Union is no longer in peace. The leaders had this courage, to tell the people: my good people, we are no longer in peace. We are not at war, to understand each other, but we are in a very gray area,” Digi24.
Iulian Fota says that Romania has been exposed to hybrid attacks, like the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom.
“Germany has faced even harsher aspects of attack of war: sabotages, a crime attempt, so the liquidation of opponents that were hosted on the territory of Germany. Romania, in a way, escaped cheaply so far, because, beyond these information attacks, for me, the Clara is on the whole series. Which I have, that I operate only with such information, I think we are in the beginning or in a still good area, ”said the former presidential consolier.
“We are not at war, because we did not face a military aggression, although it is a scenario and a danger that we must take very seriously,” said Iulian Fota.
“” We are now entering a race for our national security. A harsh, heavy race, which involves major dangers, which is doubled, unfortunately, and an economic catastrophe. And not why we are talking now. It is something more on the next years, but very serious. And if we do not prepare the car, we will still say, As we have seen Romania in recent years, more than from a distance or more inside, Romania is not ready for the bad times that come, ”said Iulian Fota.
