Interim Prime Minister Predoiu: The Control Body will verify who are the culprits for the situation at Salina Praid
Interim Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu announced on Saturday, after President Nicuşor Dan, who was in Praid, announced that he would ask the head of the Government to determine who are the culprits to flood the saline, that he had such control on Friday.

“In full awareness with the position of President Nicuşor Dan, yesterday I ordered the head of the Prime Minister's control body to carry out a control that quickly and thoroughly clarify the causes and responsible of the situation created at Salina Praid“Predoiu wrote on Facebook, immediately after the statement of President Nicuşor Dan.
The interim prime minister also stated that on Friday he ordered the formation of a working group composed of state secretaries appointed by the ministers from the ministries of the economy, environment, finance, development and interns, to identify the economic, technical and financial solutions for helping the local community in restoring the basis of social and economic activity, as well as for the repair of damages and for the recovery.
Cătălin Predoiu's reaction comes after Nicuşor Dan said he would ask him to find the culprits to flood the praid saline.
At a press conference, Nicușor Dan stressed that the situation could be preventive, and “The culprits must answer“
“We will look at who he is guilty and we will not leave behind the affected. We take the measures to enter the circuit and on this side the workers and the travel agents have some compensation“He said.
The president also assured that the 130 people working in the mine, but also those in the tourist circuit will receive some forms of compensation.
He added that studies will be carried out to see if the saline can be saved.
“Within certain limits, with high power pumps, the water can be discharged into the river. The question to which a study will answer is if the whole salt can be saved, including the lower parts, where it is exploited, or the upper part, which is also the tourist one.
