In relation to a 24-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case was opened about the child’s torture (paragraph “G” of part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to investigators, from January to April 2025, the suspect, being in his apartment and at the cottage in the Berezovsky district, systematically caused bodily injuries to a 2-year stepson. At the same time, the boy’s mother was present.

With a statement about the torture of the child to law enforcement agencies, his grandmother applied when she found his grandson's traces of beatings. The boy was immediately removed from the family and placed in a specialized institution, where he was provided with the necessary assistance. He is currently under a temporary care of a grandmother.

The retained stepmother was detained, the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.
