The institution that pays this contribution is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the notification for the payment of this amount was issued on the date of March 14, 2025after the approval of the law of the state budget for 2025.

The payment term indicated in notice was given by April 14, 2025and the period of grace for the payment of the penalty -free contribution was 30 days, so that the payment had to be made by the latest on the date of May 13, 2025.

“In case of non -payment, after this date, penalty interests will be calculated in the amount of 3,181 euros/day, until the full payment”, it is shown in the foundation note to the draft decision.

To solve this problem, the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be supplemented with over 93.1 million lei from the budget reserve fund at the disposal of the Government, provided in the state budget for 2025.

In the current context of regional security, the contribution to the European Peace Instrument, especially, is to strengthen the ability of Ukraine to instruct its armed forces, its defense capacity and resilience.
