Türkiye and Poland are developing cooperation in the field of energy. “There is a great potential for development”


The 4th Polish-Turkish Economic Forum organized at the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Istanbul focused on the role of Turkey in ensuring energy security and stability, as well as green technologies and energy transformation-told Turkish media.
In the opening speech of the Polish Ambassador Maciej Lang emphasized that the purpose of the meeting is to expand economic cooperation between Turkey and Poland in many sectors. – Poland has been participating in discussions on climate change for years. We want to play a key role in global activities for the green transformation, proposing innovative and profitable solutions that will benefit to all regions – said the Polish ambassador, quoted by the Anadol agency.
Cooperation between Poland and Turkey can be developed
Ambassador Lang also mentioned that Poland allocates about 1.4 percent GDP for energy and environmental projects and research to make progress in the field of renewable energy and green economy, investing, among others in maritime wind energy and solar energy projects. – There is a great potential for the development of cooperation between Turkey and Poland – said Ambassador Lang.
Witold Leśniak, the Polish Consul General in Istanbul, during the forum pointed out that there are possibilities to extend double -sided cooperation in green energy sectors, sustainable transport and energy -saving infrastructure. – As Poland, we would like to contribute to these efforts thanks to our technologically advanced solutions for cities, industry and households – said the Polish diplomat.
Ercan Duman, chairman of the Turkey-Polska Business Council in the management board of economic relations with foreign countries (Deik), stated that Poland is an important partner for Turkish enterprises due to the size of the market and the geographical location, which serves as a gate to other markets in the region.
He added that Turkish institutions are determined to increase the volume of bilateral trade between Turkey and Poland from $ 12 billion to $ 15 billion in the coming period. He paid special attention to the importance of energy cooperation in achieving this goal.
