Ex-Minister of Defense of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan was detained in Moscow. In his homeland, he is put on the wanted list.
According to Mash, everything happened yesterday in the region of 13:00 on Tverskaya Street. The official reason is still unknown. At the same time, Major General is accused of Armenia under several articles: “illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity”, “abuse of official powers” and “abuse of power”.
Karapetyan led the Ministry of Defense from August to November 2021 in the second government of Pashinyan. Many remembered him for calls to ask for help for the country from the key ally – Russia. Now Karapetyan is the leader of the opposition movement “The All -Armenian Front”.
UPD. Karapetyan was released on a recognizance not to leave.
