Jan, the owner of the noble vineyard in Dobra near Sanok, is a retired builder who has never had anything to do with winemaking before. As he says, he originally planned to create only a picnic clearing, inspired by an idea brought from the USA.
– The property comes from 2010, but I tied the vineyard later, because at first I didn't think about it at all. I had a construction company years ago, today I am a pensioner, but I have never had anything to do with winemaking before. Originally, I only wanted to make a picnic glade here. A breakthrough moment was a meeting with an expert, who suggested the widespread enclosure. After a year of study in Germany, Jan became not only the owner of a picturesque real estate, but also a winemaker.

The name of the vineyard is not accidental – it comes from the town of Dobra Szlachecka, from which the owner of a noble family comes. The vineyard is located on the southwestern slope, surrounded by hills and forests, from where there is a view of the entire area: the San Valley, the surrounding villages and the range of Słonne Mountains.

The existing building with an area of 60 sq m has been enriched with a shelter with a terrace and a semi -open, traditional wood -burning kitchen. We will find there bread oven, baking pizza baking, drying room and smokehouse. All elements were made by hand by the owner, which gives them a unique character.
Mr. Jan is also in the process of building a residential building together with agritourism with an area of about 400 sq m – I must admit that the designer persuaded me, and he did well. It is a pity to sell it, these are my hometown, but I have to think about the future, not big businesses – says Jan.

However, the owner does not intend to completely cut himself off from his work. – If a new buyer expresses such a desire and health allows me, I will gladly help him – I can watch the investment as a winemaker, because I already have knowledge, I can always act as a proven and experienced building supervision inspector – he declares with a smile.
