Gadi Kinda, the former opponent of the Romanian national, died at 31

Gadi Kinda, a midfielder with 10 matches at the Israel's national team, died at 31.

The player of Maccabi Haifa has been in the hospital for a few weeks, the last match played dating from March 29. The official cause of death has not yet been made public.

Two weeks ago, Maccabi Haifa gave a statement announcing that Gadi Kind is admitted, without giving specific details about the nature of the player's problems. “He has been facing a complex medical problem for a few weeks. The player is hospitalized and tests,” Maccabi Haifa said.

Gadi Kinda lost the fight with the disease two weeks later. “Israeli football today lost not only a talented player, but also a beloved and valuable person”, The Football Federation in Israel said on Tuesday.

The former midfielder ticked 10 matches in his career for the Israeli national. He was in the lot at the parties with Romania in the Euro 2024 preliminaries, concluded 1-1 and 2-1 for “tricolors”.

Kinda was unused reserve at both matches played by Israel against the Romanian national.

The former midfielder evolved in his career in Ashdod, Beitar Jerusalem, Kansas City and Maccabi Haifa. In the current season he played 24 matches in the Israeli championship

“We are deeply saddened by the death of former Sporting KC midfielder, Gadi Kinda. Our hearts are with Gadi's family, his friends, his teammates and everyone who knew him,” Kansas City said after Kinda's death.
