“I am excited to play a match on the slag. I haven't played too much this season. I haven't won any game yet. From this point of view, it is not ideal. I hope I can play more than a match here. I want to grow my shape before the main objective on this surface, Roland Garros, and play better than I did in the last month.”
He came to Geneva accompanied by Dusan Vemic, the captain of the Jean King Cup of Serbia, who was also part of his staff a few years ago. Also, Boris Bosnjakovic will also be with Djokovic in the next period.
A few months after the start of collaboration with Andy Murray, The two decided to conclude the partnershipso that the British no longer train his former rival.

“I felt that we could not remove more from this partnership. My respect for Andy stays the same. It's even bigger now since I managed to get to know him better as a person. It has a brilliant IQ in tennis. A rare champion mentality. Sees the game in an incredible manner. But, how to put it, we could not achieve together what we hoped, from the point of view of the results. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I tried, ”he added.

Novak Djokovic: “I still want to win the biggest tournaments”
Novak Djokovic spoke about pressure and described it as “a privilege”, using an expression of the legendary Jean King. He said that supporting the family helps him to go through this complicated period, with ups and downs, in which his game is no longer as constant as long ago.
However, Djokovic believes that his life has changed for the better and I think it still has the quality to win a Grand Slam title.
It's a different chapter of my life. I try to navigate in these waters. I am not used to circumstances of this kind, with two eliminations right from the beginning. I don't think it happened to me in the past 20 years. But I knew that, possibly, this moment would come.
It's hard for me to sit down and think about everything I have achieved throughout my career. Obviously, I'm proud of her. But I still have the desire to win the biggest tournaments, to impose myself at the Grand Slam, to be one of the best players in the world. That's why I'm here, at the Geneva tournament, because I try to do things well, to win more trophies. Motivation is still here.
Only, during this transitional period, I have to understand my body, which I need to do to maintain my health, while I am in an optimal condition to play my best tennis in Great Slam tournaments. When I am in a competition I want to give the best but the Grand Slam are the peaks of our sport
