According to the Infotrafic Center of the Romanian Police, the road traffic on DN 7CC (Călimănești Belt) is conducted, on a single wire, alternatively, in the area of the accident. The resumption of traffic under normal conditions is estimated after 3:00 pm.
The National Railway Company CFR SA said that starting at 1:20 pm, the railway traffic is completely interrupted on the Călimănești – Lotru segment, after the vehicle collapsed on the 1st circulation thread, and fragments from it were also designed on the second wire.
“Because the vehicle is on the 1st thread, and some components have been designed on the second wire, the railway traffic is completely blocked, until the problems are remedied.” said CFR SA, states news.ro.
The train R 2064, operated by SNTFC CFR Călaturi SA on the route Sibiu – Râmnicu Vâlcea, is affected by this interruption. The CFR staff act on the spot for the release of the Thread II, so that the traffic of the trains can be resumed at least partially.
The intervention teams work for the release of the high tonnage vehicle in the railway area and to restore both rail and road traffic.
