From September 1, a complete ban on use in Poland. Gis alarms

From September 1, 2025, the ban on the use of TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphine Oxide) enters into force in cosmetics – we read in the GIS message published at the end of April.

TPO, i.e. difenyl oxide (2,4,6-trimetylobenzoilo) phosphins, is a photosensator who plays a key role in the process of curing cosmetics under UV and LED lamps.

This substance was approved in a limited concentration (max. 5 %), only in professional nail styling products. Its application was regulated by the provisions contained in Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 regarding cosmetic products.
