As part of the preventive action “Check the mole!” ToRasnoyarsk oncologists received and studied more 1900 photos of neoplasms. 50 people were invited to a full -time reception to the dispensary, of which only 27 came to a consultation with an oncologist.
Doctors sent four patients to further examination with suspicion of melanoma, four more – with suspicion of basaliom, three discovered dysplastic nevus – this is a benign acquired pigmented formation with an increased risk of further malignancy.
“This format of the action is not the first time, since it showed a very good result. It was precisely those patients who, when studying the photographs of which we saw ambiguous formations on the skin, fell on the full -time reception to oncologists. This allowed us to pay due attention to each person and in a short time to send to the necessary examinations and further treatment, ”said Eduard Semenov, deputy chief physician for outpatient assistance.
The final diagnosis of patients will be made after surgical removal of neoplasms and histology.
It is noted that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, according to 2024, skin cancer was in second place in the structure of cancer. Last year, 1788 cases were revealed among residents malignant neoplasms of this localization.
