Zelensky: Territorial Issues Can Only Be Resolved by Ukraine and Russia Leaders
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asserted that only the leaders of Ukraine and Russia can determine territorial matters. In discussing potential compromises previously suggested by the United States, he highlighted proposals for demilitarized zones, which were part of the 28-point plan discussions. Zelensky mentioned that the U.S. had also recommended solutions involving the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and various territorial exchanges.
Furthermore, he pointed out the possibility of establishing a buffer or demilitarized zone along the frontline in Donbas, a compromise Ukraine was willing to consider. The demilitarization of the Kinburn Spit was also proposed as part of these discussions.
