Severe Storms Also Hit France, Belgium, and Germany
France experienced disruptions from Storms Boelo and Austen, which struck the northwest part of the country late Thursday into Friday. Tragically, a 62-year-old man lost his life, and two others were hospitalized due to the storms.
As of Friday at 8:00 PM, the orange wind alert had been lifted for all affected departments, including the Hauts-de-France region and the coastal area from Côtes-d’Armor to Seine-Maritime, as reported by Météo-France.
The meteorological agency noted that Storm Austen has now moved towards the Benelux countries and Germany.
