Audi Unveils Third Generation Q7 in Romania

Audi has officially launched the third generation of the Q7 in Romania, a model that continues to embody the brand’s core values while updating them for contemporary needs. The new Q7 is designed to be a versatile partner, suitable for busy business schedules, weekend getaways, or long journeys.
The Q7 sets new standards in space, driving dynamics, comfort, and technology. Its distinctive exterior design features a robust silhouette and impressive digital lighting technology. Available with five, six, or seven seats, the Q7 offers maximum versatility for everyday use. The powertrain is driven by a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, offering two output options: 220 kW (299 PS) or 180 kW (245 PS). It is equipped with MHEV plus technology, featuring an integrated generator that can temporarily provide an additional 18 kW (24 PS). An electric compressor enhances performance during startup.
To celebrate the launch, Audi is offering a limited-time promotion for the first 50 vehicles sold by December 31, 2026, with a monthly rate starting at 491 euros, excluding VAT, targeted at corporate clients.
The Q7 has defined the balance between quattro performance and daily utility since 2005. The new generation continues to build on these strengths with imposing proportions, a high waistline, and a distinctive front dominated by the Singleframe grille, giving it a unique presence on the road.
Inside, passengers are welcomed into a spacious environment. The standard configuration includes five seats, with the option for individual seats in the second row for the first time. Together with two seats in the third row, this configuration allows the Q7 to accommodate up to six people, enhancing the business-class feeling and comfort on long journeys.
The popular seven-seat configuration remains available as an option, allowing for the installation of up to three child seats. In the standard configuration, all seats are partially electrically adjustable.
A key attraction in the top trim level includes a large panoramic sunroof with adjustable transparency. Storage spaces in the doors and the new center console enhance the practicality of the new Audi Q7 for everyday use. The center console features decorative inlays and provides space for the wireless charging of two smartphones according to Qi 2.2 standards, along with large cup holders. The five-seat version has a trunk volume of up to 806 liters. Folding down the second row of seats expands the storage space to 2,075 liters. The seven-seat version offers up to 722 liters of luggage space behind the second row and a maximum volume of 1,980 liters behind the first row.
Lighting plays a crucial role in the design of the new Q7. The optional digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED modules utilize technology that can project high-resolution light patterns, opening up numerous possibilities for adaptive light distribution and assistance functions. At the rear, the third-generation digital OLED tail lights integrate communication lighting and an active digital light signature. The Q7 offers up to eight digital light signatures for headlights and tail lights. The digital OLED panels, with more segments than previous generations, allow for captivating designs with three-dimensional effects in the rear light signature. A new feature includes the projection light from the doors. When opening the front driver and passenger doors, a white diamond shape appears, welcoming passengers and illuminating the path to the vehicle.
Audi has now integrated the lighting functions of the Q7 more closely with the driver assistance systems. For example, through lane guidance or orientation lights, important information from the assistance systems is displayed directly in the driver’s line of sight in front of the vehicle, providing a direct visual reference to the surroundings. These lighting functions contribute to increased safety while on the move. Advanced signaling represents a world premiere. At night, a stylized signal is projected onto the ground, synchronized with dynamic turn signals at the front and rear, quickly alerting other road users, such as cyclists, during lane changes or turns.
The model also offers a wide range of driving assistance features, including an adaptive driving assistant plus, which assists the driver with acceleration, braking, speed and distance maintenance, and lane keeping. This makes driving more comfortable, especially on long distances. The trained parking feature allows customers to “teach” the Audi Q7 individual parking maneuvers. The new reverse assistant is particularly useful for exiting dead-end streets.
The MHEV plus technology, featuring a next-generation drive generator, supports the powertrain with up to 18 kW (24 PS) of additional power. As a result, the three-liter V6 diesel engine offers strong acceleration and high efficiency during driving.
The standard Q7 is equipped with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and permanent quattro all-wheel drive with a new preloaded locking central differential. Customers opting for the higher performance of the classic quattro system with a locking central differential benefit from improved traction and precise steering response, offering an agile yet stable driving experience, with exceptional handling even in situations involving rapid and sudden load changes.
Standard steel spring suspension ensures a superior driving experience. Optionally, adaptive air suspension or adaptive sport air suspension with controlled damping makes the new Q7 more agile and versatile.
- Automatic emergency braking system: collision prevention when moving forward and backward, with pedestrian and cyclist detection
- Blind spot monitoring: visual and haptic alerts when vehicles are in adjacent lanes
- Rear cross traffic alert: warns of approaching vehicles while exiting parking spaces
- 360-degree camera system: panoramic view with multiple angles for parking and maneuvering
- Park Assist Plus: assists the driver in executing parallel and perpendicular parking maneuvers.
- Towing assistance: takes control of steering when reversing with a trailer; the driver sets the direction through the MMI
- Tow stability control: detects swaying and stabilizes the trailer through selective wheel braking
- Integrated trailer brake control: factory-installed for uniform and precise trailer brake control
