Jovo Lukic Linked to Le Mans Transfer with €5 Million Fee

Jovo Lukic, a 27-year-old striker and last season’s top scorer in Romania’s Superliga with 18 goals, is being targeted by Le Mans, who have recently returned to Ligue 1 after a 16-year absence.
According to reports from SportSport.ba, Lukic may join Le Mans during the winter transfer window. The club is backed by high-profile investors, including tennis star Novak Djokovic, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, and former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa.
Potential Move to Le Mans This Winter
Having made a significant impact in the last Superliga season, Lukic was on the verge of leaving U Cluj during the summer transfer window, but no deal materialized. He was also a target for FCSB’s Gigi Becali, who offered only €2 million for the player.
Currently, Lukic has scored just two goals this season, both in a 3-2 victory against Petrolul Ploiești. In a recent match against CFR Cluj, he came on as a substitute and played a crucial role in securing a penalty and providing an assist during a comeback win.
His previous performances earned him a call-up to Bosnia’s national team for the 2026 World Cup, where he scored in a 1-1 draw with Canada.
Le Mans is now eyeing a winter transfer for Lukic, with the striker’s market value set at €2.2 million according to Transfermarkt. U Cluj’s contract with Lukic extends until the summer of 2029, but the club is reportedly willing to let him go for €5 million, a sum Le Mans is prepared to meet according to further reports.
Notably, the French club’s ownership includes prominent figures like Novak Djokovic and Thibaut Courtois, further raising interest in this potential transfer.
