Specifically, Zelensky mentioned the possibility of establishing a ceasefire related to energy and grain supplies. He believes that such initiatives would serve as a tangible demonstration of Russia’s willingness to reduce tensions.
“I asked President Trump, and he said he would pass everything along to Xi,” Zelensky stated regarding his conversation with the former U.S. leader.

- On September 23, Xi Jinping arrived in Washington, where he was personally welcomed by Trump. The invitation came during Trump’s visit to China in May, when he urged Xi to help resolve the war in Ukraine, according to sources reported by the South China Morning Post.
