According to reports, Xi Jinping will be in the United States from September 23 to 25. Earlier, during the BRICS summit held on September 12-13 in India, reports indicated that Xi declined to attend a leaders’ dinner also attended by the illegitimate President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, due to feeling unwell. Despite this, the visit has been confirmed.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Hua Chunying, quoted by Reuters, stated that the Chinese leader will engage in in-depth discussions with Trump on key issues impacting U.S.-China relations as well as global peace and development.
Hua emphasized that the mutual visits by the leaders within six months hold “historic and significant meaning”. The ministry’s spokesperson also noted that China is prepared to collaborate with the U.S. for appropriate resolution of differences and to promote worldwide peace.
