Two Ukrainian Women Break into WTA Top Ten for the First Time

Elina Svitolina ranks seventh, while Marta Kostyuk ranks tenth

Marta Kostyuk, a semifinalist at the Roland Garros and Wimbledon, has continued her exceptional season by reaching the fourth round of the US Open for the second time. Following the tournament, the 24-year-old made history by entering the WTA Top Ten for the first time, climbing from the 11th to the 10th position.

After the latest ranking update, fellow Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina occupies the seventh spot.

According to reports, this marks the first time in history that two representatives from Ukraine have simultaneously entered the WTA Top Ten.

Additionally, there has been a change at the top of the rankings, with Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan displacing Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka from the number one position. Rybakina previously held the second spot in the rankings.
