Fraud Scandal Unfolds in Kyiv Regional Council Involving Budget Misuse
In a significant scandal, five members of the Kyiv Regional Council and their relatives have been charged with fraud for allegedly misusing budget funds designated for veterans and the ill. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, these officials created fictitious medical certificates for family members to access benefits from the “Care” program. Instead of using the funds for their intended purpose, they redirected the money towards luxury vehicles and cosmetic surgeries or returned it to the council members’ accounts.
The implicated officials include Polischuk, Savchuk, Polikarpov, Polyarus, and Meparashvili, as confirmed by law enforcement sources.
