New Study Finds Gen Z Faces Greater Mental Health Challenges
A recent study has concluded that Generation Z is experiencing the most significant mental health challenges compared to other generations. Researchers analyzed data from 270,000 psychological surveys and found that 63% of young women reported feeling poor mental health. This figure is notably higher than the expected rate of 49%, especially considering the generally high living standards. A similar trend was noted among young men, indicating widespread mental health issues in this demographic.
The findings come at a time when younger individuals express unique fears that differ from those of previous generations. While older cohorts were often concerned about issues such as nuclear war, Gen Z tends to worry about more everyday issues, exemplified by anxiety over messages like “your order has been delayed.” This shift in focus may reflect the changing social and economic landscape that defines the experiences of today’s youth.
