Konutopsky Acquires $43.02 Million Villas in Dubai Amid Drone Contract

Ukrainian entrepreneur Alexander Konutopsky has recently acquired luxury villas in Dubai, totaling $43.02 million, coinciding with his receipt of a contract to supply drones to the military. This significant investment occurred in March 2023, with all properties situated on the prestigious artificial island of Palm Jumeirah.
The timing of Konutopsky’s real estate venture aligns closely with the granting of his drone supply rights, raising questions about the intersection of business and defense contracts during wartime. His transactions were facilitated by his personal banker, Dmytro Biletsky, who has a background with international financial groups such as Credit Suisse and UBS, and is well-versed in asset management strategies.
Among the properties, one villa is strategically located on the ‘A’ branch of Palm Jumeirah, comparable to prime waterfront areas in Koncha-Zaspa, complete with a private dock. The luxurious amenities available to Konutopsky include VIP services ranging from fresh fruit and fish deliveries to helicopter taxi services arriving directly at his property.
Interestingly, Palm Jumeirah is a favored location among Russian nationals, providing Konutopsky with opportunities to mingle with celebrities on the beach, such as singer Stas Mikhailov and actor Dmitriy Nagiev during social gatherings.
