Marius Burcă Responds to Rapid’s Interest in George Gavrilaș

George Gavrilaș, a 35-year-old player, is attracting interest from Rapid, but Marius Burcă, the president of Metaloglobus, has no intention of allowing his departure. Burcă even mocks the Giuleșteni club regarding the situation.
With options like Marian Aioani and Bogdan Ungureanu for the upcoming Superliga season, and amidst ongoing controversy surrounding a potential contract termination with Deyan Iliev, Rapid is actively seeking a new goalkeeper.
Marius Burcă: “Make an Offer and We Will Consider It”
Journalist Emanuel Roșu revealed that there is a possibility for Gavrilaș, currently with Metaloglobus, to join Rapid. “There is interest at the moment, but nothing concrete. We will see what happens in the coming days,” sources close to the player informed GSP.RO.
Burcă’s reaction to Rapid’s interest was clear: “If Rapid wants Gavrilaș, they need to make an offer, and we will analyze their proposal. So far, there is no offer on the table,” he stated for GSP.RO.
“We’re Willing to Help, But Not If They’re Struggling…”
Furthermore, Burcă directed a pointed remark at the Giuleșteni club: “If they want Gavrilaș for free, they can go wherever they want to buy for free! We’re willing to help, but if they’re struggling… So, at this moment, we have no offer.”
Born in Sighetu Marmației, Gavrilaș has a notable trophy collection, having won the Romanian League title, the Romanian Cup, and the Romanian Supercup with Astra Giurgiu. He also secured another Romanian Cup title with FC Voluntari.
Throughout his career, he has played for clubs including Astra, Dunărea Brăila, FC Voluntari, Juventus București, Daco-Getica, Metaloglobus, and Petrolul.
