Iran’s Mojtaba Khamenei Criticizes Trump Over U.S. Violations

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei asserted on Saturday that the repeated violations by the United States of a memorandum signed by the leaders of Iran and the U.S. have rendered Donald Trump’s signature “absolutely worthless and untrustworthy,” according to reports from Reuters and The Hill.
Khamenei made his remarks in written statements shared on the social media platform X, claiming that recent American attacks represent “yet another undeniable proof of the dishonesty, irrationality, unseriousness, and malicious nature of the United States.” He warned of potential Iranian reprisals.
He further stated, “Now that the American enemy seeks to escalate the conflict, incurring even greater costs and deeper humiliation, they should know that the noble Iranian people and the Resistance Front have unforgettable lessons reserved for them.”
Since being appointed as his father’s successor, the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the early days of the conflict, Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth revealed to reporters in March that Mojtaba Khamenei had been “wounded and likely disfigured” following the February 28 attack on his father’s complex.
