Ukraine Parliament to Vote on New Government Composition Today
Today, the Ukrainian Parliament will conduct a vote to establish a new government. The list of candidates for various ministerial positions has been disclosed by members of parliament. The proposed Prime Minister is Serhiy Koretsky. The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy is Denis Shmyhal, while the Minister of Defense will be Ihor Klymenko.
Additionally, the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration is slated to be Vsevolod Chentsov, and the Minister of Culture, serving as the Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy, is Tetiana Berezhna. A candidate for the Minister of Restoration, Infrastructure, and Transport has yet to be announced.
Other nominations include Vitaliy Behin for the Minister of Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons, Matviy Bidnyy for the Minister of Youth and Sports, and Vitaliy Kim as the Minister of Veterans Affairs. The Interior Minister will be Ivan Vihivskyi, while Andriy Sybiha is nominated as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Further appointments include Andriy Butenko for the Minister of Education and Science, Viktor Lyashko as the Minister of Health, Serhiy Marchenko for the Minister of Finance, Oleksandr Kravchenko for the Minister of Economy and Environment, Taras Vysotskyi as the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Denys Ulyutin for the Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity, and Denys Maslov for the Minister of Justice. Finally, Oksana Ferchuk is nominated for the Minister of Digital Transformation.
