Zelensky Announces Diplomatic Changes Amid Delays in Arms Supply

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced potential changes in the country’s diplomatic efforts, emphasizing the urgent need for improved speed in executing international agreements. He stated, “Agreements made at the leader level must be fulfilled more swiftly and fully.”
Zelensky highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration with international partners, indicating that Ukraine requires a “new quality of work” in this regard. A primary focus, he mentioned, is the cooperation with the United States on licenses for producing Patriot missile systems.
Furthermore, he reminded that Ukraine is also working alongside European partners to establish its own European missile defense system, as well as engaging in various defense projects.
He pointed out the critical necessity for the implementation of military aid packages already announced by allies, which have not yet been fully realized. “Today, the Russians launched ballistic strikes against Ukraine, targeting Kyiv. There was a devastating attack in Sumy and a missile strike in Odesa. […] There should not be weeks passing between announcing a support package for Ukraine and its implementation; this is the responsibility of everyone involved in diplomatic efforts. Ukrainian soldiers need more resources and capabilities to protect lives and shield people from Russian aggression,” Zelensky explained.
