Polish Foreign Minister Szymański has announced his decision to decline the Commander Cross with Star of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, pledging to return the award soon. He stated, “In light of such reckless actions, I see no possibility of retaining the high state honor bestowed upon me in October 2022.” The move follows the recent revocation of an award from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
