Gophers continue to bite people on Tatyshev

In the last seven days alone, 12 people They sought medical help after being bitten by gophers on Tatyshev Island in Krasnoyarsk.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, among the officially registered victims 5 children aged 9-15 years. Fortunately, in all cases there were no serious health consequences.

The department recalled that gophers can be carriers of various diseases, including rabies.

“We know, we know, they’re funny. I want to pet them, treat them, or film them point-blank. But there is one rule: no hand feeding, even if this “innocent” creature looks you in the eye and asks for a cookie,” epidemiologists urged.
