The largest meter factory in Romania was put up for sale PHOTO&DOCUMENT

The electricity and natural gas consumption meter factory in Timișoara, the largest in the country, was put up for auction, after its owner, the company AEM SA, went bankrupt in March this year, with the company being insolvent from 2024 and with production suspended from 2023.

The bankruptcy was declared after a reorganization plan was rejected by creditors last fall, as reported by Profit.ro.

The total of claims with voting rights from the debt table of AEM SA exceeds 404 million lei, the largest creditors being ANAF (155.8 million lei) and the state bank Exim Banca Românească (121.2 million lei).
