Krasnoyarsk residents were among the most sociable Russians with their neighbors

Krasnoyarsk is among the cities where residents more often communicate with neighbors. This was reported by TASS with reference to survey data from the insurance company Rosgosstrakh.

According to the study, in Krasnoyarsk, 42% of respondents are friends with their neighbors or at least sometimes communicate with them. The same figure was recorded in Kazan and Yekaterinburg. Closer neighborly ties are more common in Ufa, Perm and Voronezh. Residents of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk and Volgograd reported close communication with neighbors least often.

In the country as a whole, only 5% of Russians are ready to ask their neighbors to look after their apartment or house during the holidays. Most often, this request is made to relatives. This option was chosen by 33% of survey participants. Another quarter of respondents prefer to leave their housing under video surveillance, and 15% are ready to entrust the apartment to friends.

At the same time, many Russians hardly know their neighbors. For 27%, communication is limited to greetings when meeting, 20% know people in the house only by sight, and 18% know virtually none of their neighbors.

According to the survey, even with normal relationships, people are not always ready to let their neighbors into their personal space. Only 3% of respondents agree to leave them spare keys.
