Almost 4 thousand pets were lost in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in a year

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 3,975 pets were lost in 2025. This data was provided by Pet911 and Kaspersky Lab in a joint study of lost and found pets.
Compared to 2024, the number of missing animals in the region increased by 7.1%. In the country as a whole, about 180 thousand pets were lost over the year, which is 7% more than the year before.
In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, among the missing animals were 1,618 dogs and 2,357 cats. At the same time, in terms of the absolute number of losses, the Krasnoyarsk Territory is noticeably inferior to the largest regions. Most domestic animals were lost in the Moscow region, about 19 thousand, Moscow, about 11 thousand, and the Krasnodar Territory, about 9 thousand.
In Russia, most often pets get lost in the summer. The record month was July, when more than 20 thousand missing animals were recorded. For dogs, the most dangerous day was January 1st. On this day, almost 600 dogs were lost, which is associated with New Year's fireworks.
In general, searching for animals has become faster. Within the first week, 78% of lost pets are found. Within a month, 93% return home. The average search period decreased from 6.9 to 5.9 days.
