On Tuesday, June 9, Eugen Tomac will have discussions with the UDMR, and after that he will also meet with the small groups in the parliament.
The designated prime minister met on Monday with the PNL president and interim prime minister Ilie Bolojan, in a series of discussions through which he wants to convince the parliamentary parties to support the future Executive.
“I had a very good discussion with the leadership of the PNL, Mr. Prime Minister presented to me the priorities, the risks, I agree on many points of view, I leave this meeting confident”said Eugen Tomac.
On Thursday, June 4, President Nicușor Dan appointed Eugen Tomac for the position of Prime Minister, who has ten days to obtain the necessary parliamentary support to form a majority and invest the new Government. The head of state emphasized that his decision is one of responsibility and expects, in turn, the same level of seriousness from the political class to ensure the stability of the government.
In order to be sworn in, the prime minister-designate must present the government program and the list of ministers to Parliament, obtaining at least 233 favorable votes. In case of validation, he will have to give up his MEP mandate.
