Chindia Târgoviște dramatically missed promotion in the first league, after the draw with Farul, decided on penalty kicks, in Ovidiu. A few days after the failure, the second division announced the transfer of striker Valentin Dumitrache (23 years old), a player who belonged to Dinamo, but who did not get to wear the shirt of the team from Ștefan cel Mare, being always on loan.
In the last edition of the championship, 2025-2026, Dumitrache was loaned by the Dynamo team to Metalul Buzău. Now, he has signed an agreement valid for two seasons with the team from Dambovița. GSP.ro wrote exclusively about this move even before the Farul – Chindia return.

“Welcome, Valentin Dumitrache! Chindia Târgovişte announces the signing of a 2-year contract with striker Valentin Dumitrache. The 23-year-old footballer comes from Dinamo.
In the last two seasons, he was loaned to Metalul Buzău and Afumați. Previously, he had played for Farul, Gloria Buzău and Clinceni. Vali has two selections in the Romanian U20 national team. We wish him much success in Târgovişte!”, Chindia Târgovişte officials said on Thursday evening.

Dumitrache was transferred by Dinamo in 2024, from Farul Constanța. Then he was immediately loaned to Afumati, in League 2, a club for which he scored 7 goals in 22 matches;

He returned to Dinamo in 2025, but was not kept in the squad by Zeljko Kopic. He was again sent on loan, also in League 2, to Metalul Buzău. In the recently concluded season he played 29 matches and scored 8 goals;

Dumitrache is quoted at 175,000 euros, according to the specialized website Transfermarkt. It is decreasing compared to the moment when he signed with Dinamo. In 2024, it was worth 250,000 euros.
The transfer of Valentin Dumitrache was made to cover the place left vacant by Daniel Florea, the one who announced after the Farul barrage that he was retiring from football at the age of 38.
