Krasnoyarsk Territory and Tatarstan extended the cooperation agreement

The Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Tatarstan agreed on joint projects in science, education, economics and other areas. This was reported by the press service of the governor and government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov and head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov signed an action plan for 2026, 2027 and 2028. The ceremony took place within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“We have long established effective cooperation in all areas. Joint events and regular exchange of experience are planned for the next three years, from economics, education and healthcare to tourism and archival affairs. Tatarstan occupies a leading position in scientific and technological development, and Kazan is recognized as one of the student capitals of Russia. It is promising to strengthen inter-university cooperation and organize joint educational and research projects,” said Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Mikhail Kotyukov.

The parties also discussed strengthening socio-economic ties. Currently, trade turnover between the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Tatarstan amounts to more than 14.5 billion rubles. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mikhail Kotyukov for supporting Tatar autonomy in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. About 20 thousand Tatars live in the region.

“We are always ready to exchange experience in the areas of supporting entrepreneurship and training on the basis of industry resource centers. Our regions have good opportunities for developing ties in education, science, culture, and tourism,” noted the head of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The cooperation agreement between the regions has been in force since 2013. The new plan provides for the exchange of experience and joint events in the field of economics, public relations, natural resources, science, agriculture, social and youth policy, education, culture and sports.
