In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a major overhaul of the last section of the Uzhur bypass has started. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
This season, road workers will update the section from 4 to 9 km. It runs from the turn towards the city and along the railway tracks to the crossing. The contractor has already started repairs.
Pools are being removed from the site, the base of the road is being reinforced with geogrids and new culverts are being installed. Road workers will also clean ditches, install a drainage system and renew the asphalt concrete surface. In addition, lighting will appear near the railway crossing. A new barrier fence, road signs and markings will be installed on the road.
The renovation is planned to be completed and the facility will be put into operation by the end of October.
The Uzhur bypass connects important routes of the region in the direction of Sharypovo, Uzhur, Balakhta, Achinsk and Troitsky. The road is also in demand among tourists. You can use it to get to Lake Uchum in the Uzhur district and to recreation centers in Khakassia. In summer, traffic intensity in this direction increases noticeably, so the contractor is trying to speed up the pace of work. Last season, the section from 9 to 13 km on the Uzhur bypass was already repaired, from the crossing to the exit to the Achinsk, Uzhur, Troitskoye highway. Two years earlier, major repairs were carried out on the first three kilometers, where the crushed stone surface was replaced with asphalt concrete.
In total, this year, under the national project, work will be carried out at 59 objects of the regional road network. It is planned to restore 168 km of road surface and put 10 bridge structures into operation. The total cost of the work is about 8.5 billion rubles.
