In Krasnoyarsk, voting continues for public spaces that will be improved in 2027 under the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” program of the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” initiated by the President of Russia. This time, residents were presented with 17 objects in different areas of the city to choose from.
The improvement plan will include eight spaces that will receive the most support from residents. To date, more than 115 thousand people have already taken part in the selection of territories; for a number of objects, the struggle is literally for every vote.
According to the press secretary of the Department of Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement of the Krasnoyarsk Administration, Svetlana Trushkova, the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” program is well known to city residents, and the list of voting territories was formed on the basis of requests from Krasnoyarsk residents themselves.
“The main goal of the project is to encourage the activity of citizens and involve as many people as possible in making decisions that are important for Krasnoyarsk. We have been implementing this project since 2017, and during this time about 100 public spaces have been landscaped, including, for example, the Central and Yaryginskaya embankments, the Kachi embankment named after Pimashkov, and Solnechnaya Polyana Park. Therefore, in each district, 2-3 more spaces from each district are put up for voting every year, which were most often mentioned by citizens in their appeals,” she noted.
In the Oktyabrsky district, two objects were put up for voting – Botanichesky Boulevard and the Uyutny Square at 54 Svobodny Avenue. So far, Botanichesky Boulevard is in the lead.
The acting head of the Oktyabrsky district administration, Evgenia Potylitsina, noted that the territory has long been in need of renovation:
“This boulevard appeared back in 2005. It is in demand among residents: there is a busy road, a school, and a densely populated area nearby. The space needs modern landscaping and new small architectural forms,” she said.
Krasnoyarsk residents themselves also openly talk about the need to improve the space. Residents of the Oktyabrsky district are actively making their proposals and sharing their wishes regarding the future project with representatives of the administration.
“I am very glad that they want to improve our boulevard. My neighbors and I often walk here. First of all, I would like the road to be put in order and new benches to be installed. I think it will turn out to be a beautiful zone,” Krasnoyarsk resident Valentina shared her thoughts.
Let us remind you that voting for improvement projects started on April 21 and will last until June 12. All Krasnoyarsk residents over 14 years old can take part in it. You can vote for one of 17 public spaces on the platform zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru.
