A schoolgirl from Esaulovo who was bitten by a dog will be paid 100 thousand rubles (video)

The court recovered 100 thousand rubles in favor of a second-grader from the village of Esaulovo, who was injured after being attacked by a stray dog. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region reported this.

The incident occurred on a February morning when two schoolgirls were walking to class together. Suddenly a dog ran towards the girls and bit one of them on the side. The children got scared and decided to change the route. The injured schoolgirl cried all the way, but did not tell any of her teachers or classmates about what had happened. Only at home did the girl confess to her mother that she had been attacked.

“The examination showed that the physical injuries were not the most serious. There were bruises and bite marks on the child's body. The girl experienced the incident much more difficult psychologically. After the attack, she became afraid to go to school alone, slept poorly at night and flinched at every unexpected sound,” the press service of the supervisory agency said.

The prosecutor's investigation showed that the attack on the schoolgirl was the result of improper performance of duties to catch stray animals. The municipal institution is responsible for the safety of residents in this area, but the necessary measures have not been taken.

In order to protect the rights of the child, the prosecutor's office went to court. During the trial, it was possible to prove that the schoolgirl’s physical and moral suffering was directly related to the inaction of the responsible services. The court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor's office.

In addition, the incident was given a criminal legal assessment. A criminal case of negligence has now been opened and is being investigated (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The execution of the court decision and the investigation are under the control of the prosecutor's office.
